What is the science and technology science?

Science and Technology Science and technology is a term of art used to encompass the relationship between science and technology. It frequently appears within titles of academic disciplines (science and technology studies) and government offices (Office of Science and Technology).

Modern beverage cans are markedly different from the first metal drink cans that appeared in the early 20th century. But is it time to update the design again? This clever soda design would use the familiar pop-tab format, but with a twist: the very top of the can twirls around to cover the opening. Created by Johan de Broyer and Robert Davis, the resealable soda can wouldn’t cost any more to manufacture than standard soda cans do. The design only requires the addition of a disc between the can and the top, the cost of which would be offset by selling advertising space on the disc, according to the inventors. But the disc could also be used for giveaways or other value-building messages. It’s a versatile space that simply didn’t exist before now.

Piracy is typically an act of robbery or criminal violence at sea. The term can include acts committed on land, in the air, or in other major bodies of water or on a shore. It does not normally include crimes committed against persons traveling on the same vessel as the perpetrator.

What is the SOFTWARE PIRACY?

Nowadays, the world appear one kind of piracy that is software piracy. The unauthorized copying of software. Most retail programs are licensed for use at just one computer site or for use by only one user at any time. By buying the software, you become a licensed user rather than an owner. You are allowed to make copies of the program for backup purposes, but it is against the law to give copies to friends and colleagues.

Why is it problem?

What you think when you create something good and everyone can use that free? Piracy is not good, for any situations and any reasons.

Solutions for SOFTWARE PIRACY.

1. Let the users decide to whether pay or not. If the users find the product worth to pay, they will pay anyway.
2. Reduce the price of the products.

INCOME INEQUALITY.

Solutions:

• Straighten and strengthen the legal framework to prevent abuses.
• Market forces should be shaped, not left as “forces.” Other countries shaped their market forces in ways that have lowered inequality while creating more opportunity and growth.
• Take care of the young, as they are our most valuable resource. Countries far poorer than the U.S. have decided that all young people should have access to food, education and health care so they can fulfill their aspirations.

Political Compass

The political compass is a multi-axis political model, used by the website of the same name, to label or organize political thought on two dimensions. In its selection and representation of these two dimensions, it is similar to the Nolan Chart and Pournelle Chart. The term "Political Compass" is claimed as a trademark by the British website Pace News Limited, which uses responses to a set of 61 propositions to rate political ideology on two axes: Economic (Left-Right) and Social (Authoritarian-Libertarian). The site also includes an explanation of the two-axis system they use, a few charts which place various past and present political figures according to their estimation, and reading lists for each of the main political orientations.

The Politicalcompass.org website does not reveal the people behind it, beyond the fact that it seems to be based in the UK. According to the New York Times, the site is the work of Wayne Brittenden, a political journalist. According to Tom Utley, writing in the Daily Telegraph, the site is connected to One World Action, a charity founded by Glenys Kinnock. An early version of the site was published on One World Action's web server.The website does not explain its scoring system in detail and some writers have criticised its validity while others have treated it more as a form of entertainment than a rigorous analysis.

1. WHAT IS THE UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME (UNEP) AND HISTORY ABOUT THAT?

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is an agency of the United Nations that coordinates its environmental activities, assisting developing countries in implementing environmentally sound policies and practices. It was founded by Maurice Strong, its first director, as a result of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in June 1972 and has its headquarters in the Gigiri neighborhood of Nairobi, Kenya. UNEP also has six regional offices and various country offices.

2. WHAT IS THE GOAL OF UNEP ?

Ensure Environmental Sustainability

- Integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programmes; reverse loss environmental resources.

- Reduce by half proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water.

Achieve significant improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dewellers by 2020.

3. WHAT IS THE MISSION OF UNEP ?

The mission of UNEP is to “provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.”

4. Some interesting facts.

UNEP has been designed to be the environmental conscience of the UN System which plays a catalytic role coordinating the activities of other UN agencies and promoting them to integrate environmental consideration into their activities.

Headquarters of UNEP are located in Nairobi, Kenya. UNEP's environmental activities involve treaties and guidelines concerning environmental protection. 

Environmental Assessment has been a keystone of UNEP's activity. It administers or co-ordinates activities of Global Environmental Monitoring System (GEMS) and Air Pollution Monitoring Network with World Meteorological Organization.

UNEP's environmental education programme is aimed at educating the general public. It involves about 10,000 educators in nearly 140 countries of the world.

5.State how the organizations are working towards solving the issue

First, the objectives explained in the MDGs should be divided into viable tasks that can be achieved on an individual level, such as shopping locally or using public transportation. Integrating the objectives of Agenda 21 & the MDGs into the curriculums at schools and universities worldwide can allow students to understand the importance of sustainable development and develop the appropriate skills to enter a new, green workforce.

Second, these smaller tasks should be communicated in the language of Generation Y: social media. Social media outlets such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter act as a universal platform that can diffuse the topics discussed in Rio+20, why they’re important, and what can be done individually to achieve the MDGs, to users worldwide.

Thirdly, and most importantly, is answering why the involvement of the next generation matters. A simple “call to action” is like a tree that falls in the woods with no one to hear it—it does not make a sound.  The involvement of Generation Y matters because whatever progress is made now and during Rio+20 will be lost if the next generation is not following behind, picking up wherever Generation X left off or faltered; it matters because we have the power to shape the future we want.

World population is 7.1 billions . Overpopulation is an undesirable condition where the number of existing human population exceeds the carrying capacity of Earth.Overpopulation is caused by number of factors. Reduced mortality rate, better medical facilities, depletion of precious resources are few of the causes which results in overpopulation. It is possible for a sparsely populated area to become densely populated if it is not able to sustain life.

Basic Human Needs

There are DIFFERENT THEORIES over what basic human NEEDS are. Many of the names of the people on the top of the chart say that people CANNOT move to the next level until they have fulfilled the level that they are at. I think the table below is the most important : MASLOW , BURTON .
